The 2015 Mustang has just started hitting the streets of the USA this month in the hands of the buying public, and already we’ve seen many firsts. Our friends over at SCT were the first to take the ’15 down the quarter-mile at a NMRA event just 10 days ago at the NMRA World Finals in Bowling Green, KY. They were also the first to release dyno and tuning data on the EcoBoost and GT versions of the all new Mustang.
SCT is first again this week, first to release tuning support for the 2015 Mustang to their dealers. “We have released Custom Tuning support for our Advantage custom tuning software and firmware to allow the device to program the 2015 5.0L & EcoBoost. This will allow our custom tuning dealers to start creating tunes for these cars today,” says SCT’s Tim Roi.
What this means for all those early-adopters out there in Mustang world, is that if you’ve been waiting for tuning support so that you could pull the trigger on modifying your new 2015 Mustang, your wait is over. The release of this support means that as of today, SCT authorized tuners, can start creating programs for the 2015 Mustang. Whether you’re just looking for some gains from a tune only type of upgrade, or you have bigger plans in mind, SCT products and tuners can handle anything from the bolt-on, daily-driver enthusiast, to the hardcore racer looking to set some record firsts in the all new Mustang.
SCT is releasing support today for the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost and Mustang GT
It’s not just the Mustang GT that’s getting this support either. SCT has released support for the GT and EcoBoost. They have all there variants of the car in house, GT, EcoBoost, and V6, and are currently working on packaged tunes for all three. Roi says that SCT has made development for 2015 Mustangs a top priority.
