If you’ve heard of Ken Block, you’ve heard of Gymkhana. Yes, the Gymkhana videos are pretty badass and are quite entertaining, but we hate to admit we were getting kind of bored of them… and obviously other people were, too. So, some changes are in store for us Block-fans.
Ken Block debuted his “Hoonicorn” Mustang two years ago and it went viral, as designed. It gave us something different to look forward to other than his usual vids and exploded on social media outlets, even having a cameo in the video game Need for Speed.
Yes, you may be thinking… The latest Gymkhana just dropped!! What else can Ken have up his sleeve? Well guys, as some of you may know, the Hoonicorn is back and better than ever. As if it wasn’t awesome enough already, he recently revealed its new upgrades from Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s RTR Tuning company, including the addition of twin turbos pushing 21 psi into the ‘Stangs 6.7l meth-injected V-8. Now, it makes a whopping 1,400 horsepower.
For his latest viral video in the Gymkhana series, Ken Block puts this 1,400 horsepower beast to the test with a 14,000 foot climb up Pikes Peak. This “Climbkhana” will be unlike any regular hill climb and there’s no doubt he will wow us once again with his tire slaying tendencies.
Toyo Tires, Hoonicorn 2.0’s latest sponsor, released a short 42-second clip to give us a teaser before the video’s full launch mid-next year. Check it out and tell us what you think. We cant wait.
