Give Your F-150 Some Added Pick-Me-Up With S&B's New Air Filters

Sure, much of our coverage here on Stang TV is directed toward the venerable Mustang, but we know as well as anyone that Blue Oval performance extends well beyond just the Pony cars. Take a look around any NMRA event or other all-Ford festival, and you’ll see a plethora of badass Ford trucks, either towing a race car or, in many cases, with a number on the window and doing battle on the quarter mile. In fact, there is a decent sized performance aftermarket for these trucks, and the F-150 in particular.

And so when we came upon the S&B Filters booth at SEMA, we simply had to know more about their impressive-looking new air filter on display and designed for use in the 2009-2010 5.4L F-150. This piece replaces the entire stock air intake system, and sports an attached coolant reservoir and an optional air scoop for added performance. Made of roto-molded crosslink plastic, this filter system has a plexiglass lid that gives it a great look in which you can see through the shell to the filter itself, and has features durable and dependable urethane adapters. In flow tests, this unit from S&B flowed 51% better than the stock air intake and filter. Expected release for this product is slated for January 2011.
