Kids say the darndest things, are we right? Sharing our enthusiasm for cars with our kids can be an exciting experience, as we explain how an engine works, why cars go fast, and how to turn a wrench the right way. Some kids enjoy cars more than others, and the little girl in the following video obviously has a thing for Fords. She’s got good taste for a five year old, as well as some ideas on what Ford should do for its next car.

Her name is Serena, and her idea is simple; Ford needs to build pink cars! Amazingly, Ford even responded with a custom Mustang drawn up on their online customizer website.

Serena’s parents are obviously Ford fans, as she talks about her parents having owned one since before she was born. “It must be have a million miles on it,” she says. Little Serena is a big fan of her family’s Ford, though she has just one complaint…what about the girls?

It seems to Serena that any car not painted pink must be for boys. So she wants “Mr. President Ford” to build a dedicated pink car. Indeed, pink is not a color currently offered in the Ford lineup, though the Blue Oval has offered a Warriors In Pink package for the Mustang before. And Ford’s communications director Scott Monty even went ahead and customized a pink Mustang for young Serena over at the customizer website.

This is probably a more appropriate “Inner Mustang” for a little girl, don’t you think?
