One way to help someone out in need is to get a tight-knit community together to raise money for a good cause. About 40 Ford Mustangs showed up to race through the barren, empty runways at the old St. George Municipal airport to raise money for a local teen girl with a heart condition. If in need of help, the Mustang community is more than willing to help out for a good cause no matter where you’re located.

From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. members of the Northern Utah Mustang Association joined a bunch of vendors and spectators to raise money for Abby Doman, a 13-year-old girl diagnosed with a heart condition and is in need of a heart transplant. As you can imagine, bills have been mounting up and getting out of control for her family.

St. George Project Coordinator, Carlos Robles, planned the day full of high-speed autocross racing and it will also feature the 2012 MCA National Mustang Show at Tuacahn. The event will go take place all day Saturday and Sunday for an amazing cause.

“(The old airport) was the safest place they could do something like that,” Robles said, referring to today’s autocross event. Hopefully they raise some good money to help put a dent in mounting bills of the family and the girl awaiting a new heart. Props to these Mustang owners and their dedication to helping a family overcome some trying times.
