High gas prices suck, and the past few weeks have seen the price for a gallon of petrol slowly creep upwards. While most people are able to adjust, albeit begrudgingly, to the high cost of gasoline, other people would rather blame everybody from the President to oil companies to mysterious futures traders for the rising cost of fuel. There is no single reason for gas prices going up, but try explaining that to some people.
According to The Enterprise News, a man in Brockton, Massachusetts became so enraged over the price of a gallon of gasoline that he reportedly circled the station like a hungry shark before losing control and smashing into a minivan. Was it worth it dude?
The Mustang, a yellow Fox-body model, was definitely equipped with a 5.0 V8 engine. Those motors require premium fuel, which in Massachusetts is currently running over $4.00 a gallon. That isn’t cheap to be sure, but hardly outrageous in New England. Places like California are seeing gas prices over $5.00 a gallon, so everything is really about perspective here.
The driver reportedly peeled out of the station before losing control and smashing into a minivan. The damage was severe enough to this twenty-year old car that it is almost certainly totaled. This accident was a lot more expensive than a tank of premium fuel, that’s for sure. Somebody get that guy some anger management classes.
