The 2013 model year Mustang brought about a whole host of changes for Ford’s famous pony car, including a mild facelift, new rear tail lights, and a slew of new color options. Perhaps the most eye-catching change though was the all-new Gotta-Have-It-Green paint option, which rekindled memories of the famous Grabber Green color from the 1969-70 Boss 302 Mustangs. It’s the first bright green color Ford has offered on the Mustang in decades.

The color has proven popular, even with owners of older Mustangs. Mustang Heaven came across a Craigslist listing (which has since been removed) for a 2003 SVT Cobra Mustang painted Gotta-Have-It-Green…and we gotta say, we’re green with envy.

While Chrysler is perhaps better known for its outlandish color palettes, Ford is no stranger to weird and wacky colored cars. The Ford Mustang has an especially colorful history with different paint options, including a handful of “Playmate Pink” Mustangs made during the 1960s. But it was the Boss Mustangs of 1969 and 1970 that really opened up the color palette with options like Grabber Orange and Pastel Blue.

While this 2003 SVT Cobra isn’t quite a classic Mustang yet, the Gotta-Have-It-Green look, combined with some black wheels and blacked-out headlights, makes for one fierce-looking pony car. Add to that a supercharged V8 engine (with green cam covers!!) and a bargain price, and you’ve got a great competitor for today’s more powerful 5.0-equipped Mustangs, but at a much lower price.
