Ever since ZZ Top sped the Eliminator past the TV screen on MTV, the link that connects cool cars and cool music solidified, meaning that we didn’t have to go cruising to see cool cars and listen to great tunes. We could find quite a few music videos that featured some very cool rides, and lots of musicians found ways to show off their custom rides while they played. Since then, musclecars have been the stars in countless music videos, from rock to country, hip hop to new age, and everything in between.

Sometimes the cars are musclecars, or street rods, or trucks; and sometimes the band might be performing while these various vehicles cruise up to the local music hall or a bar with a live band. But we found a different connection between musclecars and music that you don’t often see, and the key word here is “connection”.

EJC Custom Pedals and Guitarworks takes the connection of music and cool cars quite literally. They’ve taken the guts of a guitar effect pedal and have added overdrive and boost to cool 1/18th scale die cast cars. Of course, these cars are miniature, because you just can’t run cables out to the parking lot from the studio, or get a good soundtrack from playing in the parking lot.

By checking out their Facebook page and YouTube videos, we see that they’ve used die cast musclecars and classics to provide all the controls that you need for your guitar pedal. There’s a General Lee, classic police car, a ‘Cuda, ’69 Mustang, and even a ’41 Willy’s, to name a few. Even the headlights and tail lamps light up using LEDs to show what’s switched on. Very cool idea indeed!
