For many enthusiasts, it doesn’t get any better than a Saleen Mustang. The ultimate Saleens were the Saleen Anniversary cars, like the SA-10, SA-15, SA-20, and this car, the 2008 Saleen SA-25. We found SA-25 #4 of 25 on eBay, and if you want to make it yours, the auction has 11 days left. Or you can “But it now” for $76,990. It would be the best Valentine’s Day gift ever.
Like the Saleen Anniversary cars before it, the SA-25 is a special Mustang. The Sterling silver SA-25 came with a 5.0L stroker Three-Valve engine with a Saleen twin-screw supercharger rated at 620 horsepower. As part of the stroker engine, it boasted a forged bottom end, ported heads, and 39 lb/hr injectors. A six-speed transmission sits behind the boosted Three-Valve, while 3.73 gears are out back.
Of course, a Saleen Mustang is going to have a stellar suspension, and the SA-25 is certainly no different. The Racecraft suspension included sport-tuned springs, larger sway bars, performance shocks and struts, and a Watts Link rear suspension set-up. A killer suspension is nothing without braking support, so Saleen outfitted the SA-25 with 15-inch rotors up front with six-piston calipers, and slotted and vented 11.8-in rotors at the rear.
Performance and luxury was the name of the game with the SA-25, so the inside consists of leather seats with Alcantara inserts, and contrast stitching, to go along with 6-way power adjustability. A 200-mph speedo makes sure you know how fast you were going when Johnny Law asks, and you’ll also be able to tell him how much boost you were making thanks to a twin-gauge pod complete with boost guage.
By the way, if you buy it, you have to give us a ride.
