The term ‘street car’ is tossed around pretty liberally these days when it comes to describing how a car is driven. All debates aside, your average street car that hits the drag strip on occasion is not tickling the single digits, and is typically pretty close to stock in outward appearance. But at the Street Car Takeover held in Oklahoma City, 1320 video found a new sleeper Mustang that looks pretty normal at first glance, not showing its true eight second potential.

At ten feet, this arrest-me-red pony car looks like little more than your average Mustang until you notice the bumper exit exhaust, roll cage, and gauge cluster on the A-Pillar. There’s a 5.0L Coyote engine under the hood, but no details are given about the specific cubic inch or internals. What you can see is the Precision 82mm turbo hanging out front and center, but the rest of the piping is hidden very well. When you pop the trunk you find the battery and air-to-water intercooler. Inside the car everything looks pretty stock except for the hidden roll bar and the shifter for a Rossler Powerglide transmission.

The Mustang makes a quick 60 mile jaunt to the drag strip before it can make any hits. With the car turned down to only 1,000 horsepower, it rips off an 8.79 at 157 mph using only 14 pounds of boost. With the car turned up to 17 pounds, low eight-second passes have been made, and the wicked can be turned up all the way to 22 pounds of boost if so desired.
