With Ford updating two of their biggest models, the F150 and Mustang, we met up with Chris Doyle, Account Manager for MagnaFlow Exhaust to see what new additions they were making to their product line at this year’s SEMA show.
There was a lot of hype around the new F150 2.7-liter EcoBoost since its release, and as such, Doyle explained, “We were first to market with a new system for the 2015 F150 2.7 EcoBoost along with the new half-ton Ram Diesel. This is the first F150 kit available with split dual rear, behind the tire exhaust pipes. Our first kit we did that on was the 2014 Chevy, so this is the first generation we have done that on the F150.”
Showing some love to the Mustang market that is soon to get the addition of an EcoBoost powerplant, Doyle expressed MagnaFlow’s commitment to the Mustang market by saying, “Upon release, we had over 500 kits on presell for the new EcoBoost Mustang which we were very proud of as the EcoBoost Mustang is a huge release for Ford.” Get your order in soon, the kits are going fast!
Finally, after looking over the MagnaFlow booth, it was clear that they were making a strong push toward black exhaust systems. “This year we have a Black Series for gas trucks, we took our top 10 kits for gas trucks and we’re doing a black ceramic hi-temp coating for them,” said Doyle. He then added, “We are releasing a new tip program as well with a wide variety of tips in various sizes along with a new series of black tips to go along with our systems.”
