The 2015 Mustang surpassed the 8,000 unit mark in November, with 8,728 vehicles sold. There’s reason to celebrate as these are the best November sales figures for the Mustang since 2006.
With some of the most dramatic changes in its fifty years, that have included the complete redesign of the car, the addition of the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder option to the engine line-up, and a new suspension, the sales figures show that fans were waiting for a new Mustang. The new model’s features and the excitement behind its launch are all contributing factors to improving the Ford Mustangs sales.
“Our all-new Mustang is moving quickly off dealer lots,” said John Felice, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service. “Mustang had its best November sales in eight years and is turning in just eight days on dealer lots, on average.”
In Mustang’s most successful markets, Texas and California, a retail sales increases of 46 percent and 76 percent have been reported. Once final figures come in, expected sales of the new S550 for November 2014 are likely to show a fifty percent increase in units moved compared to November 2013.
Furthering the Blue Oval’s excitement, the Ford Escape, Explorer, and Lincoln have also posted record sales results, with the Lincoln delivering its best show of performance since 2007. Overall it is reported sales are up in every major consumer market across the United States, including the Great Lakes and Northeast region which were hit by early snow storms are showing positive increases.
Ford having now moved into the global market, with the unleashing of the S550, is expecting to continue to break records and set the pace in a world wide market.
