Well it isn’t the first and certainly won’t be the last, but another of the incredible 2012 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet race cars is currently being auctioned on eBay, affording those with deep pockets and the desire to own one of the baddest factory-built race cars ever a chance to get their paws on one.
This particular Cobra Jet, number 30 of the 50 that Ford built for 2012 was purchased and picked up in Detroit by Nick Abraham’s Elryia Ford, where it now resides in a warehouse until it’s sale which could occur within the next three days. With the car, every book, build sheet, publication, and accompanying document that came with the car upon it’s purchase will be supplied to the lucky buyer or bidder.
For those that may be unfamiliar with these cars, they’re approved for racing use only (meaning you can’t drive them on the street, as awesome as that would be) and come with a bill of sale only as produced by the Ford Motor Company. Under the hood is a supercharged 5.4L powerplant that’s been pushing these rides down into the eights in NHRA Super Stock trim.
As of Tuesday afternoon, bidding on the MSRP $103,980 Cobra Jet is at $55,500 with the reserve unmet, with an asking price of just $95,000.
