Nearly two weeks ago the all-new 2016 Ford Shelby GT-H made it’s world debut at this year’s New York International Auto Show. Since then, the team at Shelby American have diligently begun producing the 140 limited production models at their Las Vegas, Nevada headquarters, documenting the very first model in this video time lapse.
In just a mere 43 seconds from start to finish, we see the foundation of a Mustang GT transform before our eyes into a Shelby GT-H.
The production process is rather interesting when examining the video. When Ford Performance, Shelby American, and Hertz debuted the prototype ’16 Ford Shelby GT-H a few weeks ago, there were some skeptics who claimed that the car was nothing more than a few stripes and badges away from being an average Mustang GT. If you’re familiar with Shelby American and the work that Ford Performance does, then you’ll know that this isn’t the case. We’re unsure how many technicians exactly are involved during the production process; but from what we can tell, it looks like there’s plenty of work to go around when it comes to building the GT-H.
If you ask us, we can’t wait to get our hands on one come this summer. The question you need to ask yourself is, who wouldn’t want the opportunity to drive a Shelby Mustang that’s been modified by Ford Performance?
