While ADD means different things to different people, for the off road community, ADD stands for Addictive Desert Designs – the manufacturer of some of the coolest off road products on the market. We caught up with Doug Parks, Director of Sales and Marketing for ADD to discuss some of their hottest products about to take the market by storm.
ADD recently developed an all new long travel system for the 2015 F150 that debuted on two different F150s in the Ford display this year at SEMA. As an even bigger contribution to the off road community, ADD introduced an innovative idea – take a stock 2015 F150, choose between ADD’s Baja XT or Baja XTR package, send it to one of ADD’s factory authorized installers, and bring home a truck far more capable than the outgoing F150 Raptor in just a few weeks.
Offered in two different levels, the Baja XT/XTR combos come with custom molded wide body front and rear fenders, front and rear bumpers, rock sliders, the complete front end suspension system, and much more – all of which can be mounted on either 2×4 or 4×4 applications. “Compared to the stock Raptor, this is made with far better components and you can definitely beat on it more than the stock Raptor suspension, we’ve already tested it, and it’s strong,” said Parks.
With the absence of a 2015 Raptor direct from Ford, ADD is filling the void for the guy that wants a turn key psudo-Raptor built off of the 2015 F150 platform.
