McLeod Racing's Billet Flywheels for 2010-14 GT500s

McLeod Racing is now offering new flywheels for the 2010-14 GT500 in either billet steel or billet aluminum. The steel variety include a 1045 hardened steel ring gear for superior longevity in your street ride, while the 6061-T6-grade aluminum version comes Blanchard-ground and stress-relieved. This equates to a far better, more tractive contact surface. Both flywheels can utilize either the stock clutch pattern or the pattern for McLeod’s Modular Style RXT Twin Disc Clutch Kit.

McLeod SFI Steel Flywheels are machined from billet alloy steel for incredible strength. They include a 1045 hardened steel ring gear for long life. Our steel flywheels are perfect for street applications needing that added inertia only a steel flywheel can offer.

At McLeod our aluminum flywheels are different. We use only the highest quality 6061-T6 aluminum for the body of the flywheel. The friction plates on our flywheels are all Blanchard ground and stress relieved. The Blanchard grinding gives the clutch disc a much better surface to bite into. This gives added holding power while not sacrificing drivability. Being stressed relieved eliminates the potential for warpage that can occur in other lower quality flywheels.
