Throughout our lives, we hear of stories that touch our hearts. One of those stories is about the Camacho Family, a couple that went through some trying times when Jorge and Chelsea found out they were going to have their first baby.
But Jorge and Chelsea felt that something was wrong, and they visited their doctor to see if everything was okay. Their new daughter, Victoria, was diagnosed with HLHS, a defect where the left side of her heart wouldn’t form properly.
The Camachos were told that although baby Victoria could endure three surgeries at her young age, they found that there were other complications. That’s when Jorge had to learn to ask for help, and although he was hoping that Chelsea and Victoria could come home, it was Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Central Valley called and provided a place for Jorge and Chelsea to stay while his wife and child were recovering from their complications.
RMHC provided a home away from home for the Camacho family and provided shuttles to and from the hospital, and provided them with food and care while they endured a difficult time.
As much as this story both tugs at our hearts and breaks them all the same, RMHC of the Central Valley wants you to know that you can help them raise money to help other families like the Camacho Family. And by doing so, you could also win a dream car and cash to help pay for the taxes on that car.
We brought you the information on a 2016 Z06 Corvette givaway in April of this year, and the Classic 1967 Corvette drawing in July. Both of those cars will be auctioned off with a third vehicle – a Superformance MkIII Cobra Replica – this December, 2016. You can enter the contest by visiting each respective site, and find out more about each giveaway car by checking out the official rules, and selecting which vehicle you would like to win.
The Superformance Cobra Replica is powered by a Roush 427 SRX engine putting down 480 horsepower through the Tremec 5-speed transmission. Stopping your beauty is done with Wilwood power assisted disc brakes, and you just can’t miss that Guardsman Blue paint with the twin stripes.
Superformance is the only Cobra reproduction licensed through Carroll Shelby Licensing, Inc., and the MkIII is the only Cobra replica built under that license agreement.
Some of us have our own Ronald McDonald House Charities stories to share, including your author, and we can tell you that RMHC definitely goes above and beyond to make sure families in need can have the comfort and security of focusing only on the matter at hand. You can help out the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley by acquiring tickets one of three ways when you enter to win either of the three cars listed above – plus $20,000 cash.
The official winner will be announced December 16, 2016, and you have until November 30, 2016 to enter to win either car, or you can also request a ticket by submitting in writing to the contest (see official rules).
From the Official Rules: The three cars are a fundraiser for the Charity. Contest tickets obtained by a donation to the Charity will be issued, at a minimum, in the following increments: (1) $3 for 1 ticket; (2) $5 for 2 tickets; (3) $10 for 5 tickets; (4) $20 for 15 tickets; (5) $30 for 22 tickets; (6) $50 for 40 tickets; and (7) $100 for 100 tickets.
