There were mixed reviews from SEMA attendees this year who dropped by the booth of one of the industry’s premier detailing product manufacturers. While some wondered if Surf City’s booth cars were running a little late others walked in, bewildered, towards a lone display case and plaque stand.

Despite the confusion and mixed reviews, layout taste aside, Surf City Garage is a well respected company within the auto industry and countless enthusiasts rely on their products year after year for the sole purpose of preserving and rejuvenating their classics. Surf City recently introduced its line of detailing products dedicated to black and dark coated cars – Black Edge. The line includes the following products: Black Edge Detailer, Black Edge Interior Detailer, Black Edge Spray Wax, Black Edge Tire Gloss, and Black Edge Wax.

In honor of the Black Edge line Surf City created an ultra-high quality batch of Carnauba wax. Toting one of the larger display spaces at the SEMA show their entire booth was dedicated to this exclusive formula! The wax is encased in a 24-karat gold container and the folks at Surf City told Power Automedia that the wax is indeed for sale, for $12,500. No big deal.
