If you’re a Mustang enthusiast, chances are you spent the last week down in sunny Myrtle Beach, for the annual Mustang Week convention. A gathering of Mustang fans from across the country (and the world) Mustang week is usually highlighted by some special unveilings. 2010 was no different.
Saleen lifted the veil on two one-off Mustangs, called the “Mustang Week” Edition according to AutoWeek. These two special cars were created to celebrate the 9th annual Mustang Week.

Saleen has long had a habit of producing some very special Mustangs in very limited quantities. Yet this might be their most limited run of special edition Mustangs ever. Saleen took two of their S302 Mustangs, a coupe and convertible, and added some special badges to the cars on the headrests and seats. Nothing crazy or outlandish; just a simple rebadge to mark a special event.
That said, the S302 Mustang is already a special car. With Ultrasuede leather interior and subtle exterior styling enhancements, Saleen took an already great car, and made it look even better. Improvements include a Saleen grill, big 20-inch wheels, and a trunk lid with an integrated spoiler. Plus they boosted the horsepower of the new 5.0 engine to 425 ponies, and torque to 395 ft-lbs.
The black Mustang Week coupe is said to have already been sold (though to who and for how much, we’re not sure) while the convertible is still available for purchase. We wonder what else Saleen might be working on?
