We talked with Roush Yates Director of Marketing, Bucky Gregory, at the 2010 SEMA Tradeshow about the latest information from the engine manufacturer. Gregory told us; “the most recent and biggest news that we have is our partnership with Del West. We have started to offer cylinder heads with Del West valvetrains. For us, it was a good fit, Del West has established a record of performance and reliability in competition and that plays well with our own reputation for making great engines.”
Del West Managing Director Mark Sommer agreed;”our two companies are both known for producing quality products, so it was instinctive that we work together.”
Roush Yates has been designing and building high performance engines for use in NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide Series, Camping World Trucks, ARCA RE/MAX, and Grand-AM Rolex series, and now are looking to branch out into other types of racing. Roush Yates has already gotten their feet wet in the dirt late models and sprint car series and are eyeballing some drag racing series to further develop their product lines.
According to Gregory, “Del West will play a key role in engine cylinder head development in these markets.”
Sommer explained;”Del West has a long history of developing materials, coatings, design concepts, and manufacturing dimensional controls from our facilities in the United States and in Switzerland. Our expertise in the design and manufacturing of precision lightweight components offers flexibility for performance.”
