We’ve talked before about how the V6 mustang is often under appreciated. With more horsepower than many older GT models, six-cylinder Mustangs of nearly the past decade have been nothing to scoff at. As the model’s volume leader it’s also safe to say that without the little six-banger to sell to rental fleets, and those who can’t up the cash for a V8 model, there would likely be no V8 ponies to begin with.
