A Mustang collection that began with only fifty cents in hand, at the age of eight, for one young boy has some forty plus years later turned into what some might call a down right obsession on an epic scale. However, if you ask Adelbert Engler he will tell you what he feels for the Mustang is intangible. A passion that simply moves him on the deepest level, he compares to falling in love with a woman for the first time. Something you know you feel but often cannot find the words to describe.

With a collection that now includes well over 5,500 Mustangs (models and toys), Engler currently houses the complete pony medley at his Mustang repair and restoration shop in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium. Quite possibly the largest Mustang toy collection amassed under one roof in the world, what makes this particular collection so special and fun is it is open and viewable. Meaning, Engler at any given time can hold and touch anyone of his scale size models or full size Mustangs for his enjoyment.

From matchbox size models to full size drivable Mustangs you can find just about every version, model, and variant of the iconic horse ever produced. Comparable to Santa visiting all year long, Engler adds on average one new pony to the 82 foot stable just about every week.

Considered the largest “viewable” collection anywhere on the planet, this impressive assemblage includes everything from two rare Edelbrock scale size models, to radio controlled cars, to a Christmas tree decorated in pony ornaments to Mustang shaped whiskey bottles. While some may feel this man is in need of a four wall padded room, those who understand the spirit of the Mustang only hold admiration and love for Engler.
