We all knew Ford had something big planned for the 50th anniversary of the Mustang, and the Blue Oval didn’t disappoint. From the all-new, 300-plus horsepower 2.3 liter EcoBoost, and updated 420-plus horsepower Coyote engines to the refined styling and majorly upgraded interior, the 2015 Mustang also happens to be loaded with all sorts of cutting-edge features, from push-button start to adaptive cruise control.
It was these features that won the tech-laden 2015 Mustang the title of the Official Car of CES International 2014. We’re sure that’s just the first of many official accolades the 2015 Mustang will win.
The 2015 Mustang is Ford’s most advanced and cutting-edge vehicle to date. Carrying on many traditions of the Mustang, there’s a lot of new tech that will be seen for the first time on this car. For the first time, Mustang buyers will be able to get the eight-inch touchscreen MyFord Touch system, along with AppLink to connect more than 60 information and entertainment apps with the Mustang. Speaking of apps, the Track Apps feature thatl gives drivers instant access to a range of information will carry over from the S197 models, as will launch control.
New for the 2015 Mustang will be adaptive cruise control which automatically adjusts the speed of your car while under cruise control, as well as collision avoidance, which can automatically apply the brakes before you can even react. There are rumors of other tech that has yet to be announced, including industry firsts. And these are just the features Ford has announced so far; come January 7th, the start-date of CES 2014, Ford will announce even more cutting-edge features for the 2015 Mustang. Could burnout mode be among them?
We’re not sure yet what Ford has up their sleeves, but we’ll be paying close attention on January 7 to find out.
