For most of us, owning an all-new 2017 Ford GT is nothing more than merely a dream. For starters, the latest GT starts at just $100,000 shy of half a million dollars–while production is also limited to only 250 units per two years, totaling 500 units total produced. And, as we’re sure you already know, you had to be accepted as part of an application process directly from Ford to own one of the all-new GT models. Realistically, it’s not easy to get your hands on a GT.
Unless, you’re talking about one that is 1/10th the scale of the original version, of course. The folks at Traxxas have recognized the uniqueness of the all-new GT, and they’ve chosen to celebrate that exclusivity by offering regular folks like us a chance at owning a detailed, smaller version of the GT.
You’ve probably guessed by now that we’re talking about its new Ford GT RC car, which is an extremely detailed 1/10th scale version of the original 2017 Ford GT. Traxxas is afforded that extreme detail due to using an official Ford licensed body, which features a host of injection molded inserts for added strength and durability. There’s a ton more detail to this little RC car than what’s in the scope of this article, so checkout the company’s website here for more details.
