The Grand-Am Continental Tire Series came into the new year with a roar—or more accurately, “The Roar Before the 24” official testing sessions at Daytona January 4th to 6th 2013. The weekend gave the teams of the nation’s premier street stock racing series the chance to dust off their cars and sharpen their driving skills prior to the series opening round at Daytona three weeks later.
Since they’re usually very fast and competitive around the 3.56-mile “roval,” Daytona attracts Mustangs from many teams, including several series part-timers. Teams took the opportunity to shake down new cars, test setups, and finalize their driver lineups before the start of the official start of the 2013 season. Check out the images and captions that recap the action on-track and in the paddock.
