The world often gets down on the generation known as Millenials, calling them everything from narcissistic to lazy. Yet one doesn’t have to look far to find plenty of examples of young people doing amazing things, often involving something old and vintage. Sure, there are plenty of lazy young idiots playing too much Call of Duty in Momma’s basement, but guys like Allan Fearnley more than make up for them.
At just 28-years old, Fearnley has already flown helicopters in South Africa, been a helicopter instructor, and even started his own greeting cards business. STV Edinburgh reports that only then did this young man pursue his real dream; restoring and building Mustangs for Scotland’s wealthy elite.
Though Fearnley wasn’t even alive when the legendary Steve McQueen flick Bullitt hit theaters, the movie served as inspiration for Allan to get into the car restoration business. An obviously successful fellow, Fearnley has traveled from South Africa to Australia and back to Scotland before finally opening his custom Mustang shop, Wild Horses, in the ancient Scottish city of Edinburgh.
As though flying wasn’t enough, Fearnley found himself obsessed with the Ford Mustang, and decided the only way to get his fix was to open his own shop. Fearnley is now the sole shop in Scotland offering custom Mustangs for a high-class list of clients who want to experience the raw horsepower of this Ford pony car.
This is one young man who is knows what he wants to do. If only we were all that focused at age 28.
