Every week it seems we hear of another high output Coyote powered, super Mustang build. This week was no exception and the latest comes with a lot of help from some familiar names in the realm of fast Coyote powered cars, Team Beefcake Racing, Lund Racing, and Finish Line Performance.
Recently TBR posted a video of customer Louis B’s 2013 Mustang, dubbed The Devil’s Reject. This ’13 GT was originally ordered with all the right boxes checked, including the 55 R “Track Pack”, with 3.73 gears and Torsen differential, it also received the Brembo brakes package and Recaro seats before leaving the assembly line.
Since then though it has gone form being the venerable, but stock Coyote powered Mustang GT, to a track beast, cranking out no less than 743 hp to the rear tires with 18 degrees of timing. The heart of this beast is a BES short block, and JPC stage 1 heads, topped with a BOSS intake manifold.
Making boost is a Paxton Novi 2200 supercharger, which has been converted over to an 8-rib belt system to give things a little more traction. The rest of the car’s modifications read like a who’s who of modern Mustang performance with names like BMR, ROUSH, Fore Innovations, and MMR appearing throughout the list.
The car was put together at Finish Line Performance, and tuned remotely by Ken Bjonnes from Lund Racing. Although the car put up a big number with 18 degrees, for safety things were backed down a little With the timing backed off to 15.5 degrees it still spun the rollers to an impressive 721 hp.
Check out the video for the dyno run, and enjoy the sweet sounds of over 700 hp of supercharged Coyote fury.
