AIRAID’s 2010-2013 Mustang GT “Race Only” Cold Air Intake Systems Now Available

The Ford Mustang GT is one of the most popular and highly modified Muscle Cars on the road today. With strong aftermarket support, the sky is the limit to producing additional power with the GT’s V-8 engine. However, modified engines require a special approach to air induction that is not compatible with Cold Air Intake systems designed around factory tuning.

To address these needs, AIRAID now offers a “Race Only” MXP Series Cold Air Intake system for the 2010 4.6L Ford Mustang GT and the 2011-2013 5.0L Mustang GT. This system is designed to work with aftermarket tuning in order to maximize the power and performance from additional engine modifications.

The AIRAID system starts with a 4.25” diameter roto-molded intake tube, which offers excellent heat rejection qualities. It also features a built-in velocity stack to increase airflow and optimizes the MAF sensor location to work with custom tuning. The Intake Tube connects to AIRAID’s new one-piece roto-molded Cold Air Box via a urethane “hump hose” and 100% stainless steel clamps. 

The box is designed to keep hot engine compartment air away from the filter while increasing the amount of cold air available. Blade-style weatherstripping seals the air box to the hood, further eliminating hot air. 

The heart of AIRAID’s MXP Intake System is the massive 1300-cfm air filter, which provides the engine with a steady supply of clean, cold air.  The filter features our exclusive Synthaflow oiled filtration technology and is constructed with a special blend of urethane that will not crack, shrink, or curl.  It is both washable and re-usable.

The AIRAID “Race-Only” MXP intake system utilizes oversized intake components in order to maximize airflow to modified engines. Because of these special components, aftermarket tuning is required and widely available from many different manufacturers as well as specialized tuning shops.
