Just because you have OBD-II doesn’t mean you cannot take advantage of the sensors you already have. Late-model vehicle sensors are just as precise as aftermarket counterparts. Racepak, well known in the industry for providing high-end monitoring and data logging solutions, has released their Racepak OBD-II interface. The interface module is a plug and play data / display solution for any late-model vehicle containing an OBD-II connection.
Designed for use with Racepak’s V-Net style (canbus) data recorders or digital display dashes, the OBD-II module will, upon connection, auto detect and define a variety of obd-II data, from a number manufacturers. After the detection process, the module data can then be recorded and downloaded for data analysis, or used for display on any of Racepaks digital display dash products.
It includes module, OBD-II connector and cable, along with a V-Net connector pigtail. If you decide to add more sensors later, the V-Net pigtail will add as many connections as you want, by creating a piggy-back connection with no wiring needed. The OBD-II Interface will be available January 2012.
• Designed for V-Net style data recorders and display dashes
• Monitor and record any sensors offered through your vehicle’s OBD-II computer
• Auto detection of vehicle and sensors
• Add on additional sensors without wiring via Racepak’s V-Net connectors
