From budget-minded upgrades like its Magnum Flow Original Equipment Replacement Air Filter to the Magnum Force Stage 2 Super Raptor Intake System, aFe has a complete line of cold air intakes, intercooler upgrades, and performance modules to fit any EcoBoost Raptor enthusiast.

Located in Corona, California, aFe manufactures cold air intake systems, performance air filters, and exhaust systems for enthusiasts worldwide. The company’s product line includes over 2,500 different applications, which are all designed, manufactured, and tested in its 160,000 square-foot Southern California facility.

We are familiar with aFe’s Cold Air Intake lineup and have actually run the company’s system on our first-generation Raptor with impressive results. But what really caught our eye was the companies debut of the new BladeRunner GT Series Intercooler.

“The BladeRunner GT Series Intercooler represents the next generation of intercoolers for the EcoBoost Raptor,” George Chiang, a mechanical engineer at aFE, told us.

It was designed specifically for the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor 3.5-liter Ecoboost and utilizes a 3-inch, bar-and-plate core design. The end tanks are constructed of 3/16-inch 5052 aluminum and TIG-Welded for superior strength and durability.”

The new aFe intercooler also comes installed with CNC machined ports which can be used for a condensation drain, sensors, or water-methanol injection applications.

This intercooler is available now (PN 46-20292-B) and utilizes the factory mounting locations to provide stability for a hassle-free installation.
