Here in the good ol’ USA, we’re eagerly awaiting the release of Ford’s new mid-sized pickup, the Ford Ranger. Although it’s not technically new, the Ford Ranger has been out of production since 2011 here in the states, so when they are available again for the 2019 model year, they will be new to us. While we’ve been without any new Ranger pickups since 2011, Australia has had them readily available.
While we wait for the truck to arrive here, we can revel in the excitement of watching it do work in other parts of the world. The US market has longed for a midsize pickup, something that has been lacking for years. For those of us looking for something a little more agile and a little lighter than an F-150, the Ranger is the answer. Whether you’re looking for better economy or performance, if you don’t need the towing capacity or storage space of a larger truck, the Ranger will definitely do it for you.
Don’t let the size fool you however, the Ranger is a rough-and-tumble truck designed to handle anything you throw at it. As shown in the video the Ranger is ready to off-road and even effortlessly towed that mini excavator up the mountains in Australia to cut in some better bike trails.
