This video by Spoold Media shows Josh Beasley’s EcoBoost Mustang run some impressive times at the Street Car Takeover Charlotte in Concord, North Carolina. We’ve seen a lot of cool stuff come out of the versatile EcoBoost platform, but this 2.3-liter, stick-shift Mustang is something else.
This is one awesome EcoBoost Mustang, inside and out. We just love this car and love what Josh has built.
The 2.3-liter, four-cylinder motor was built and tuned by Adam Brunson at Tune+ and it features a Precision 5862 Gen2 turbo. The Mustang also features an MT-82 manual transmission. The manual transmission is part of what makes it such an impressive car. According to Josh, this is currently the quickest EcoBoost Mustang with a manual transmission in the world.
It’s a really impressive car, and you can get a little more information from another video below by BigKleib34. This other video gives some more detail on the build, we get to see and hear Josh talking about his Mustang, and it shows the pass against the Corvette in a little closer detail. It’s absolutely worth a watch to get some more detail on this build.
We love what Josh has done with his Mustang, and it’s cool to see one of these with a stick-shift and a four-banger get into the 10-second range. Josh has plans to possibly add some nitrous in the future and bring that time down even lower. You can bet that we’re going to keep an eye on this build as Josh continues to race and improve on what he’s built.
