Suffice it to say that Mickey Thompson’s Pro Bracket Radial tire line, launched back in the fall of 2014, has been a hit in the bracket racing world as racers have realized the benefits, largely in the name of consistency, that the radial construction offers.
Now, hoping to gain a share of the higher-horsepower bracket and index racers out there, along with Super Stock and Competition Eliminator, Mickey Thompson has expanded its Pro Bracket Radial line to include two new, larger size tires: a 31.0/13.5R15 (Part #3373R) and the 32.0/14.0R15 (Part #3374R).
“The new Pro Bracket Radial sizes have been designed for higher horsepower vehicles with modified chassis that use a larger tire,” said Ken Warner, Vice President of Marketing for Mickey Thompson. “Like their smaller counterparts, these tires will deliver quicker elapsed times with great consistency and handling.”
The radial construction of the Pro Bracket Radial, with its stiff sidewall, creates less rolling resistance, no rollout contrast (the tires don’t have to be matched), and have zero top-end growth, all of which act in unison to provide a tire that’s ultra-consistent … a point that’s paramount of bracket racers. Add to that that the tires are affordable and provide a greater tactile “feel” to the driver, and you can quickly surmise why the Pro Bracket Radial has gotten the attention of bracket racers everywhere.
