As development of the 2013 Shelby GT500 was finishing up, Ford made sure to have plenty of camera crews on hand. Their promotion of the new Shelby has been nothing short of a full committal, and we’ve already had a chance to hear from the engineers, get the low down on launch control, and see the GT500 at the drag strip. But one thing we haven’t heard a lot about is handling. Until now.

The latest Shelby GT500 video from Ford focuses solely on suspension, with the Shelby heading out to the famous Virginia International Raceway, or VIR, to get the suspension bits all dialed in.

This time, Ford puts us in the backseat of a 2013 GT500 convertible and on the roof of a coupe as the two cars tear around VIR to help tune the suspension. There is nothing to discuss here; just over a minute of two GT500’s going round and round VIR, squealing tires and roaring engines the only conversation we need to hear.

Honestly, it is kind of a teaser, and we were hoping to get some insight into what went into improving the new GT500’s suspension. Perhaps Ford has that planned for another video at a later date?
