After a horrific fire and accident 10 months ago, the dominant duo of Tim Lynch and Steve Petty are back in action. When the fire occurred last fall, a turbo failure was speculated to be the culprit and in the end, it was determined to be just that. With the Corvette suffering major damage to all parts mechanical, it took the better part of a year to regroup. The determination of driver Tim Lynch cannot be stopped though, as he’s back and reportedly ready to settle the score once and for all. Check out the reaction on Yellowbullet.com.
Atlanta Dragway was the scene for the triumphant return for the Lynch and Petty team backed with massive amounts of Proline horsepower. Right off the trailer they showed everyone that they’re ready to claim all the records and take them back to the south. With a few minor chassis adjustments things came around quickly and a 4.29-second pass was laid down even as Lynch was driving through tire spin on the top end.
Will Lynch be able to make the trip to the Yellowbullet Nationals and take back his crown? Waiting in the shadows is the likes of Richard Sexton, Chuck Ulsch, Charlie Dolbin and many more that call the Cecil County Dragway their home. While Lynch showed up two years ago and took the class by storm with ease, the locals have stepped up their game to chase the southern contingent right back out of town. Just how crazy would it be to see a 32-car field with a 4.29 or lower bump? In just two weeks we may find out!
